ROBERT THOMPSON
MD, MBA, CHIEF PHYSICIAN EXECUTIVE

Dr. Thompson has been a physician leader for over 30 years serving in multiple health systems across the country. He has held multiple senior leadership roles that included corporate level clinical leadership, medical group and inpatient operational oversight, clinical integration, strategic planning, leading system level quality and safety structures, leadership development, and value based performance. He has served on multiple boards, most recently as the vice chair of the Polara Health Board of Directors.

Dr. Thompson received his medical degree from the University Of North Dakota School Of Health Sciences and completed training in internal medicine and allergy/immunology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Further education included receiving his masters of business administration (MBA) from the University Of St. Thomas Graduate School Of Business (Minneapolis, MN).

Dr. Thompson practiced allergy and immunology for over 20 years. Other roles include being elected as president of the North Dakota Medical Association and appointed to the Oregon Patient Safety Commission Board of Directors by the governor.
