Polara Health addresses these issues including, but not limited to physical health, substance misuse, mental health, relationship and spiritual health.

Outpatient Treatment Programs

Suboxone Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT)

This program is a person-centered approach focusing on the medical and psychosocial aspects of addiction and recovery.  MAT is a proven foundation for personal change and recovery that reduces the need to use opioids and prevents overdoses.  Opioids are a class of drugs that include the illegal drug heroin, synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, and pain relievers available legally by prescription.

Anyone who takes opioids is at risk of developing an addiction. MAT has been shown to assist patient’s recovery by improving quality of life, level of daily functioning and the ability to handle stress.  Medication can help stabilize brain functioning and relieves cravings and withdrawal symptoms, allowing individuals to focus on their recovery process.  Most importantly, it is proven that MAT reduces opioid-based mortality.

Enhanced Outpatient Program (EOP)

This program consists of both education and therapy groups to address an individual’s addiction. Groups are typically three nights (or days) per week in either Prescott or Prescott Valley. Clients are expected to complete all assigned tasks and assignments addressing the consequences of drug and alcohol abuse/dependence. In addition, program participants are required to attend self-help meetings weekly.

Hillside Recovery Center

Our residential program provides intensive substance use disorders and addiction treatment, including dependence on heroin and other opioids, alcohol, and other classes of drugs. Our program completion rate is 18% higher than the national average. It includes group therapy, individual counseling, activity groups, involvement in therapeutic community living, and participation in local community addiction recovery support groups.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP is intensive outpatient treatment for substance abuse that uses cognitive behavioral, motivational enhancement, twelve step facilitation, individual supportive/expressive psychotherapy, and psycho-education. The group meets for 36 sessions, which are held three times a week, for three hours each session. In the groups clients learn about various substances, what disordered substance use looks like, triggers, coping skills for avoiding relapse, relapse prevention skills, emotional expression skills, and receive education about co-occurring disorders.

In addition to the IOP group, IOP clients are assigned an IOP case manager or substance abuse therapist who meets with them one-on-one to help them resolve legal, financial, and relationship issues as well as coaching on relapse prevention skills unique to their situation. Clients in the IOP program also have access to vocational services, mental health therapy, peer support, and psychiatry services.
